GPS margin of error

gpx su Google Earth.jpg

A useful thing to know while following a gpx route is the margin of error that the system offers at a given point in your journey. Consider that the maximum error possible is given by the sum of the precision of the instrument at the time of measurement (typically under 10 metres) and the accuracy of your device while you use it to geolocate yourself (this varies depending on coverage, with maximum precision in the open air).
