Sa Portiscra Fauna Reserve

The fauna reserve is located at about 800 meters above sea level in the Sa Portiscra locality in the Supramonte of Urzulei. The natural aspects of the territory are still well preserved: there are important remnants of the centuries-old holm oak forest and majestic junipers, the very rare wild orchids, the peony and various other botanical endemisms. From these slopes take flight, among others, the Sardinian Goshawk and the majestic Golden Eagle. Mouflons, wild boars, wild cats, martens and foxes gladly stay in this area.
