Useful tips in the event of lightning!

Thunderstorms often bring lightning, one of the greatest dangers when it takes you by surprise on a hike. Stay away from poles and trees especially if they are taller than the surrounding vegetation. Don’t shelter under bushes...especially tall ones. Avoid wearing or holding metal objects and move away from high-voltage electricity pylons.
