Escalaplano – Cracuris, Bypass Road (C 561)
The pathway
Roadbook
Starting from the town center, about 70 meters away you can admire the sandstone façade of the ancient 17th-century Parish Church dedicated to Saint Sebastian, built in Renaissance style with a large and unique rose window in the Aragonese style.
Walking along the stone-paved lanes of the historic center, after about 550 meters you reach the Funtana Spring, which the community has used for water supply, garden irrigation, watering animals, and in ancient times also as a public washhouse for washing laundry.
After leaving the Funtana spring, a short climb leads to a downhill section of the path with a cobbled surface—still intact and very distinctive in some small stretches—used since ancient times to access the vegetable gardens and vineyards.
Continuing for another 800 meters along the dirt path, you reach the Cracuris Spring, where the trail ends and the beginning of trail 562 to the Domus de Janas can be seen a short distance away.
