The point of interest

Located at about 1,780 meters above sea level, it is the last saddle (or pass, or genna) before reaching Punta della Croce or Perda Crapias (which, at 1,834 meters, is the highest peak in Sardinia and the Gennargentu range).

It marks the beginning of the final ascent (coming from the north, along trail 702 from Bruncu Spina and Arcu Gennargentu) towards Punta La Marmora.

How to get here

The hike follows a very scenic ridge trail (where in springtime you may come across beautiful peony blooms).
The steep final ascent between Su Sciusciu and Punta La Marmora passes through Genna Erisi (1780 m, known as Genna Orisa to the people of Desulo): from here, along trail 702, you can reach Punta La Marmora, the highest peak on the island.
