The pathway

Trail 701-A runs on a dirt road and cycle track and can be travelled on foot, by bicycle and on horseback. This is a connecting section between trails 701, 700 and 702 at the junction to the Rollone waterworks.

Close by is the access to the Fossil Beach area. The route is entirely flat with minimal gradients.

Do not disturb the birdlife along the route.

Travel times and elevation profile do NOT change significantly in either direction.

Roadbook

The route starts at trail 701, near the water purification plant, and passing by the Fossil Beach along a dirt road/cycle reaches the Rollone pumping station and the ‘Ricovero dei Forzati’ (Convict Workers’ Barracks), where trails 700 and 702 also converge.
