The pathway
Roadbook
The route starts from the town of Ortueri, leaving the narrow alleyways of the center behind and finally taking Via Amsicora to exit the residential area. The small road immediately weaves its way between beautiful oaks and 'tanche' (enclosed fields) where pastures and olive groves alternate. The road is initially paved and, after a clear intersection, becomes a dirt track in the Sureu area.
The path concludes with a final, newly asphalted stretch, reaching the area known as Perda Literada. This location, dotted with vineyards and tree-filled pastures, holds numerous scattered archaeological remains from the historical age, which likely inspired its ancient toponym. Geographically, it is a key point: following the rural road from here takes you towards the Busachi countryside, marking the transition from the Mandrolisai to the Barigadu area. The territory of Samugheo begins just a little to the south.
